Rakshashakti University Inaugurated at Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad, Jul 22 (PTI) Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today said bulky number of youths were willing to fight adjacent to anti-national elements but they need to be qualified in handling gadgets and advanced technology. "Large numbers of youths are disposed to serve the nation, but they need to be educated in the most advanced technology and scientific gadgets to become aware of and check latest crimes," Modi said inaugurate the Rakshashakti University here to educate youth to fight beside anti-national forces. "There are international forces working after terrorism and Naxalism. The usual skills and tools would not do in the varying crime world," he further said. The university has started first-of-its-kind Diploma in Police Science from the brief location in the New Mental Area of Ahmedabad. The Gujarat Government has allocated 192 acre plot by Gandhinagar for the new campus, as it would as well start undergraduate and postgraduate degree, in-service courses and research amenities soon. Modi said the relevant Rakshashakti University Bill was passed in the governmental Assembly in July-2009. He exuded self-assurance that the fresh plan undertaken by the state government in developing human reserve for the internal security in the country. University's Director General O P Mathur said the nation's present security is in a very insecure stage and there is a critical need to raise regularly effective internal security forces.
