School closings in Michigan and approximately the state of Michigan continue to be of anxiety to parents and those preparing for the Monday workweek and grind. A very frigid and dangerous winter storm has impacted the entire state of Michigan, bringing wet rain, high winds, and snowstorm conditions.
As of 6 p.m. most of the entire state's listing of schools in all counties (public and private) have canceled classes through Monday as a result of heavy accumulations of snow, power outages, and unsafe road conditions. Based on the National Weather Service, between 1 and 3 more inches across the whole state will force more school closings in Michigan for the safety of the students and staff. Although the heaviest of precipitation has passed by, the state continues to suffer the outcome of the build up of powder. On Monday, authorities anticipate to deal with flood conditions from melting snow.
