Oscar: Backstage, a student at New York University and 73 congratulatory text messages
Luke Matheny, a surprise winner, who took home the award for live action short "the love of God" on Sunday, is a graduate film program at New York University. So it's safe to say that it was out of his comfort zone during the event full of stars.

On the red carpet before the Academy Awards broadcast, Matheny admitted he was "behind Robert Downey Jr., trying to get on TV."

And the candidates over lunch earlier this month, the student was equally star struck.

"When you're in a room and there is a famous person, it is very distracting," he said backstage. "But the candidate's lunch was wall to wall and I somehow clicked on the second level reality. "

Matheny new reality is not yet fixed, he said, despite the avalanche of congratulations that he was receiving from his friends and family.

"I'm still in treatment here. I have 73 unread messages and 50 e-mails unread, laughed.

Last night, his Facebook page, Matheny promised to send a message to thank you for his friends in New York.

"I sent the link said:" I know, "and that was the end of the clip" It 's a wonderful life. "Yes, that sums up what this experience has been."
