Michigan Basketball Athlete High School Died Of Enlarged Heart - A star player in Michigan high school basketball that collapsed on the floor after making a winning move apparently died of an enlarged heart.
Ottawa County medical examiner in Michigan, said Wes Leonard suffered a cardiac arrest because of his enlarged heart.
Leonard, a top athlete in Fennville, died on Thursday evening just after the game winning lay up, helping his team remain undefeated in the regular season.
The 16-year-old fell to the floor by teammates and fans stormed the field.
Coach Ryan Klingler said he heard someone shouting for help - the guy to call if you know something is wrong.
The paramedics performed CPR but was pronounced dead in hospital.
