BYU Tournament Final Run Gonzaga University, 89-67
Gonzaga has become a school of mid-major that seems to play only in the regular season to try to increase their ranking in the NCAA tournament.
It was not this year. Gonzaga left the streak of nine wins just to make the tournament.
They were rewarded with an eleventh and a seed opening game against San Juan. Also entered the tournament with very little buzz.
Gonzaga, then created their own buzz with an impressive 86-71 victory and complete St. John's.
This victory led many, including myself predicted that BYU would advance past and cruise into Sweet 16 Jimmer Fredette had different ideas. Fredette was a bit 'slow, but heated as the game went.
He finished with 34 points and was an incredible 7-for-12 from behind the bar.
Now there is nothing more to Gonzaga, but prepare for the next season. Ed is a season, and Gonzaga fans should be excited. Gonzaga is a young team, which has begun to understand how to play this season has gone.
When the 2012 NCAA Tournament rolls I guess he will not win the first round to Gonzaga to create buzz will be there already.
